The event started with a skills clinic, that provided the girls an opportunity to work together and push their talents to another level as they were put through a rigorous gauntlet of shooting, passing, dribbling, and defensive drills by top female basketball trainer and coach, LaSandra Dixon. After an intense workout, the girls were able to hear from two NCAA Division 1 female basketball players. Cierra Belvin And Chelsey Gipson Shared their own stories of navigating high school and life’s ups and downs to push through to achieve their goal of playing college basketball. The event participants were given the opportunity to pick the brains of these two amazing young women to learn more about how to achieve their own goals as many of these talented young prospects also have dreams of playing in college and one day pro.

It was an overtime finish, in which Gabby Robinson led her team to victory with a game winning 3. As all the girls performed excellent, it was Me’arah O’Neal who stole the show with her versatile inside out game and relentless competitiveness to get the victory.

The event was a success and  “Her Game” will be a staple for years to come by providing young women the chance to be recognized and celebrated for their talents. Congratulations and thank you to Dez and good luck to all of the participants as “Her Game” showed the sky is the limit for each and every one of you.
